For this week, our member Phyllis wanted to know how to upload photos and documents to her Ancestry database, tag people in the photos and add other information about the photos. Sometimes these trainings are shorter, but this one is over an hour because we explored more of the features than we had planned. This week's training takes us back to our member, Phyllis, who was trying to find story information on her great uncle who she was told was a Texas Ranger and in the original Border Patrol. We also covered tagging in Ancestry, a refresher on saving time on data entry, and how to change a profile picture. We worked on dialing down your search terms. Finally, we talked about what to do if Ancestry simply doesn't have the records you are looking for.
